Many of us like Facebook. It’s fun!

Do you have a Facebook group for your family?

If not, you should! It can be public or private, but private offers more advantages.

Just like the other groups you may belong to for hobbies or organizations, a family Facebook group is a handy way to communicate, promote family events like reunions, and have conversation among people you may not often see.

Our family has had a private Facebook page for a number of years, so we feel free to share all kinds of information. Currently we have about 58 members.

A private Facebook group makes it very easy to post pictures, a reunion video, nearly anything other family would be interested in. Old and new photos, family news, family history and genealogy items, nearly anything you can imagine can be shared.

If your family already has a Facebook page, what kinds of things do you post?
